Senior Designer Esteban Varas was born in Valparaiso, Chile. He received a BS in Architecture from Roger Williams University and an MFA in Lighting Design from Parsons The New School in New York.
Initially Esteban got into lighting design through exploration of light and sound installations, digital animation, and photography. His biggest source of inspiration is travel, seeing the interaction of nature/light as well as architectural practices throughout the world. He tends to be attracted to very remote places that many would not initially consider.
Esteban has worked on such notable projects as Pier 17 , Hudson Yards Development, and the Vessel in New York City.
