Ke Shi
Designer
Designer Ke Shi (Ningbo, China) holds a BFA in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts from the University of Washington, Seattle, and an MFA in Interior Design from Pratt Institute in New York.
She began her career in the interior design industry in Shanghai, focusing on small-scale commercial projects, and soon found her intrinsic interest in lighting design. Shi joined L’Observatoire International as an intern and was promoted to Designer in 2022. She sees lighting design as a scientific technique that creates and determines the visual and emotional atmosphere of the space and changes how people perceive the space.
