L'Observatoire International fine-tuned the vibration of the lighting in all spaces to create an overall warm and sexy mood.

The refurbishment of the legendary Saxony Hotel on Miami Beach is part of the $1 billion development of Faena District Miami Beach by Argentinian hotelier and developer Alan Faena. The development also includes Faena House apartment building by Foster & Partners, Faena Forum arts and retail building by OMA, several other hotels and towers, shops, restaurants and public plazas and is the stateside extension of Faena District in Buenos Aires.

The Saxony Hotel, now called the Faena Hotel, was the first luxury resort on Miami Beach when originally completed in 1948 with an Olympic sized swimming pool, private beach, tennis courts, restaurants and the first air-conditioned rooms on the strip. This renovation adds an in house theater/ cabaret and luxury spa.

We entered the world of Alan Faena through this great collaboration of many renowned designers, artists, architects and other creatives. This project reconfigures a very classic style from a modern view-point, with an added cinematic flair. We fine-tuned the vibration of the lighting in all spaces to create an overall warm and sexy mood.

L’Observatoire International scope includes all façades and landscape lighting including the seal fountain, all interior public spaces, rooms and suites, lobbies, cabaret, spa, wine room, restaurants and bars.
