Vintry Fine Wines

Inspired by the parallel rows and rolling contours of a hilly vineyard, Vintry Fine Wines at 200 West Street at Goldman Sachs, (2,100sf), establishes a new typology of wine store. Utilizing a direct supply service and focusing on select product offerings and expert service, Vintry will have a smaller than typical storage to display ratio. This enables the designs curvilinear forms, the spaced bottles for a visually uncluttered shelving display, and sufficient floor space circulation for tasting events and collection consultation services. Technology is utilized, such as customer touch pads, instant bottle chiller, and wine dispenser, to help navigate product selections and build individual collections. All bright white materials offset the curved steel and leather wine display shelving system. Materiality was selected and utilized to age gracefully as fine wines do. Using computer aided technologies the display shelving system was designed with divergent curves such that the bottles angle of repose will gradually rise and fall to accommodate different wine and bottle types with dramatic visual effect.
