Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health

The Center is approximately 65,000 sq ft (6,000 m2) and includes 13 examination rooms, offices for health care practitioners and researchers, a “Museum of the Mind,” and a community auditorium. The Center will also serve as the headquarters for Keep Memory Alive, the Las Vegas Alzheimer’s Association and the Las Vegas Parkinson’s Disease Association.

Differentiate the three primary volumes of the project - the clinic, the memori-al courtyard, and the activity center through different atmospheres of lighting. The memorial courtyard will be addressed as an extension of the landscape into the institute, the activity center will use a lighting system that creates a sense of intimacy while allowing the impressive vertical scale of the space to be experienced.
