DLFNY hosted a special evening with BOLD and L’Observatoire International at the newly renovated W Hotel Union Square and its flagship restaurant, Seahorse.

The evening opened with insights from the BOLD team, who discussed how lighting shapes the arrival sequence and social heart of the hotel. From the main lobby to the second-floor Living Room, participants experienced how luminous elements and detailed lighting interventions animate the historic Beaux-Arts architecture, shifting in scale and intimacy while supporting the hotel’s theatrical character.

At Seahorse, L’Observatoire International led a walkthrough of their layered lighting approach, establishing a warm, maritime-inspired atmosphere that transitions naturally from day to night. The lighting reinforces materiality and ambiance, setting the tone for an inviting seafood brasserie.
