Sanischaya (Waan) Mankhongphithakkul

Designer Sanischaya Mankhongphithakkul (Waan) completed her Bachelor of Architecture at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand before graduating with a Master of Architectural Lighting Design at Hochschule Wismar, Germany in July 2019 with distinction.


Waan started at L’Observatoire Intl as an intern in 2018 and came back in 2019 to join the team as a designer. Fascinated of how lighting enhances the way we perceive architecture and space, Waan started to work as a lighting designer in Singapore before she decided to further her studies in this field.


She has worked on a variety of great projects such as the Keswick Restaurant by Jean Georges, the Luma Foundation in Arles by Frank Gehry and private residences in collaboration with Gachot studios in New York.
