Designer Ellisrael Daing completed his Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde School of Design and Arts in Manila, Philippines in July 2018. Shortly after he moved to New York to start as a Junior Designer at L’Observatoire Intl.
With the sun, its path and other contextual influences as guiding inspirations, Ellisrael has grown his awareness and appreciation for artificial lighting during his 2 years at L'Obersvatoire Intl. Learning more about the immediate link to architecture, he admires the romance that lighting can provide for a spatial narrative. But also the drama in sequences from dark intimate spaces to grand structures.
He has worked on a range of projects from mixed use spaces like the Hudson Yards, Pier 17 and the Tin Building, as well as the CIFI Bejing, a collaboration with architect Steven Holl.
