History, culture and cuisine collide at Verōnika, where the precision and style of Old Europe meets the global sensibilities of the modern art world. Brought to life by STARR Restaurants, Verōnika is situated on the second floor of 281 Park Avenue South, the stunning Renaissance Revival building that serves as the North American headquarters of Fotografiska. Its name a nod to Veronica, the patron saint of photography, the interior is inspired by the moody qualities of the medium in its earliest forms, as well as the tone, texture and timbre of the “grand cafés” that populated Europe before the turn of the 20th century. Set inside an adjacent, repurposed church, V is a versatile complement to Veronika, welcoming New Yorkers and Fotografiska members for coffee and snacks by day before transforming into a seductive cocktail lounge by night.
