Chapel Bar at the Fotografiska New York

Chapel Bar is the place for communion.

An intimate, private members bar created for Fotografiska Patron and NeueHouse Members, Chapel Bar is a stunning historic landmark and former 19th-century chapel, reimagined as a sensuous space to share culture, ideas, and unforgettable experiences.

Opening in late September 2021, Chapel Bar is home to an exclusive members’ lounge, including an elevated cocktail program, rotating showcase of world-class photography, live events and performances — and the occasional confession.

Originally constructed by James Renwick Jr., the architect who designed St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Chapel Bar was known as the "Renwick Gem" Schoolhouse in 1867. To align with the opening of Fotografiska New York in December 2019, CetraRuddy led the architectural redesign process of Chapel Bar, and Roman and Williams concepted its interior design.
